Noritz parts are sold through licensed installers and Noritz dealers. Amazon and large plumbing distributors stock the high-volume parts (flame rods, igniters, isolation valves, flow sensors) — these are DIY-replaceable. Internal parts (heat exchanger, gas valve, control board) are dealer-installed only.
The Noritz parts catalog
- Heat exchanger — ecoTOUGH 316L stainless. Primary failure mode in scaled units after 10-15 years. Dealer-installed
- Flame rod — the single most-replaced part. Behind 60% of Code 12 faults
- Igniter — direct spark ignition assembly. Common Code 11 cause on older units
- Gas valve — modulating solenoid; dealer-only replacement
- Control board (PCB) — model-specific, pre-flashed firmware. Dealer-installed
- Flow sensor — detects DHW flow to activate burner
Where to buy
- Amazon — flame rods, igniters, isolation valves, flow sensors, condensate traps
- Plumbing wholesaler — Ferguson, Hajoca have Noritz inventory
- Noritz dealer / authorized installer — full catalog access
- Noritz America direct — for warranty replacement only. Parts ship to registered installer, not homeowner
Identifying the right part
Noritz parts are model-specific. Have the model number AND part number from the parts diagram before ordering. Generic Amazon "Noritz" listings are often incompatible across product lines (NRC vs NCC vs NRCB).
EZTR-specific parts
EZTR units include the recirculation pump as an internal assembly. Pump replacement requires removal of the front cabinet and disconnection of recirc plumbing — possible DIY but most homeowners pay an installer. Pump assembly: $200-400 OEM.
NCC cascade parts
Cascade-specific parts (Quick Connect cord, cascade controller) are dealer-only and proprietary to Noritz. No aftermarket equivalents.
Warranty considerations
Noritz's parts warranty (5 years) covers OEM Noritz parts. Using non-OEM parts during warranty period voids the warranty on the affected system. Out of warranty, OEM-equivalent on Amazon is fine and cheaper.
Bottom line
Flame rod, igniter, and flow sensor are routine DIY replacements with the right model-specific part numbers. Heat exchanger, gas valve, and PCB work goes through a Noritz-trained installer to keep warranty intact.
