NRC vs EZTR — when each wins

  • NRC: standard residential, no built-in recirculation pump. Lower cost ($1,000-1,650). Pair with external Grundfos if recirc needed
  • EZTR: built-in recirculation pump. $400-500 more than equivalent NRC. Cleaner install for homes with return lines

NRC vs NCC commercial

The NCC commercial and NRC residential look very similar but differ in:

  • Commercial warranty (10-year heat exchanger on NCC vs 12-year residential on NRC)
  • Cascade capability — NCC supports Quick Connect cascade; NRC doesn't
  • Cabinet seal — NCC is commercial-grade environmentally sealed
  • Cost — NCC is $500-700 more than equivalent NRC

For residential use, NRC is cheaper and warranty-superior. Use NCC only when cascade or commercial duty is required.

Warranty

12 years heat exchanger / 5 years parts / 1 year labor — residential. See warranty hub.

Pricing

  • NRC66: $999-1,249
  • NRC83: $1,199-1,499
  • NRC98: $1,399-1,649
  • NRC1111: $1,599-1,899

Installation typically adds $1,800-3,500.

Bottom line

NRC is the no-frills volume Noritz residential pick. Choose NRC1111 for 3-4 bathroom homes, NRC98 for 2.5-3 bath, NRC83 for 2-bath, NRC66 for condos and warm-climate 1-bath. If recirculation matters, step up to EZTR.
