Kohler toilet repair — AquaPiston ecosystem
Kohler's AquaPiston canister flush technology is the dominant differentiator in Kohler residential toilets. The AquaPiston canister assembly is a proprietary part that requires Kohler OEM service for repair — universal Korky/Fluidmaster equivalents do NOT fit AquaPiston canisters.
Non-AquaPiston Kohler models (Wellworth and other value-tier SKUs) use universal 3-inch flush valve + universal flapper compatibility with Korky 2032BP.

AquaPiston vs Wellworth — different service paths
If your Kohler is an AquaPiston model (Cimarron, Highline, Memoirs Stately, Maxton, Veil Smart, Numi, Persuade, Adair, and most current production), flush valve service requires Kohler OEM AquaPiston canister rebuild kit. If your Kohler is a Wellworth or other value-tier model with traditional 3-inch flush valve, universal Korky 2032BP flapper works.
