Waterpik lifetime warranty -- the first stop
Waterpik products carry a limited lifetime warranty for residential use. Contact Waterpik at 1-800-525-2774 or waterpik.com/support with the model number (printed on the showerhead body) and proof of purchase. Waterpik ships replacement parts at no charge for covered claims. This covers hose failure, spray disk damage, diverter malfunction, and finish defects.
Replacement hose
Waterpik handheld hoses are 60-inch flexible shower hoses with standard 1/2-inch NPT swivel connections at both ends. The Waterpik part number varies by model -- request the correct part from customer service using the model number. Hoses typically fail at the swivel connection after 3-5 years of daily flexing. Signs of failure: drip at the swivel connection that does not resolve with re-tightening, visible kinking or cracking in the hose body. Standard aftermarket 60-inch shower hoses ($10-$20) fit most Waterpik models as a cost-effective alternative.
PowerPulse spray disk
The PowerPulse mechanism is built into the showerhead spray disk (the face plate). If the PowerPulse setting produces a weak or uneven pulse, descale the spray disk first: remove it from the showerhead body (unscrew counterclockwise), soak in 1:1 vinegar and water for 30-60 minutes, and scrub the nozzle orifices with a soft toothbrush. If the pulse pattern does not recover after descaling, the spray disk is due for replacement. Request by model number from Waterpik customer service.
Dual system diverter
The PKG series diverter is the most frequently serviced component in Waterpik's dual-head lineup. The diverter valve body is the internal component that routes water between heads. If the diverter fails to fully block flow to one head (resulting in dripping from the non-selected head), the diverter O-rings have worn. Waterpik ships replacement diverter assemblies under warranty. Disassembly requires removing the top cap of the dual unit (two screws) and pulling the diverter assembly out of the housing for replacement.
