Single handheld installation (VS-323E8, AquaFlex)
The Waterpik handheld showerhead includes a wall bracket that mounts on the shower arm and a hose that connects from the bracket to the handheld unit. Thread the bracket onto the shower arm clockwise (Teflon tape applied first). The hose connects to the bottom of the bracket. Hand-tighten the hose at both ends plus a quarter-turn. The handheld slides into the bracket holder. No additional wall mounting is required -- the entire unit hangs from the arm bracket unless you choose to install the optional slide bar (not included with base models).
Dual shower system installation (PKG-313E8)
Waterpik's PKG series includes an arm extension piece that attaches to the wall arm to provide clearance for the dual-head body. Thread the arm extension onto the existing wall arm (Teflon tape applied). Thread the dual-head body onto the arm extension. Connect the handheld hose from the port at the bottom of the dual-head body to the handheld unit. The integrated diverter at the top of the unit controls water flow between overhead, handheld, or both simultaneously. Total install time: 15-20 minutes.
Slide bar installation for wall-mounted handheld
If the included overhead slide bar option is purchased, mount to the wall with the included anchors and screws (level the bar with a carpenter's level first). The slide bar holder clips onto the bar and allows height adjustment from approximately 30 to 70 inches. Connect the hose from the wall arm connection to the top of the slide bar (some configurations) or directly to the handheld. Waterpik's specific connection sequence is illustrated in the included installation diagram -- follow it precisely as some Dual models have a specific connection order for the diverter to function correctly.
Post-installation test -- diverter function
After full installation, test all diverter positions: overhead only, handheld only, and simultaneous (if the model supports it). Verify no drips at any connection point. If simultaneous mode reduces flow significantly on both heads, the supply pressure is at the lower end of the recommended range -- this is normal. If one head receives no flow in a specific diverter position, the diverter valve is not fully seated -- remove the overhead housing and reseat the diverter mechanism by pressing it firmly inward and rotating per the instruction diagram.
