ZeroWater Pitcher Setup
ZeroWater setup: (1) Remove all packaging from the pitcher body and filter. (2) The 5-stage filter is a large, cylindrical unit that threads into the pitcher reservoir -- thread clockwise until snug (hand-tight only, no tools). Do not over-tighten. (3) Fill the reservoir with cold tap water. ZeroWater filters do not require pre-soaking. (4) The first pitcher may have a slight fishy or ammonia odor from new ion exchange resin -- this is normal and disappears after the first 1--2 pitchers. (5) Test with the included TDS meter -- output should read 000--006 ppm. If output TDS exceeds 006, the filter may not be seated correctly or may be defective (contact ZeroWater customer service).
