Housing cap O-ring
The cartridge housing cap seal is an O-ring that prevents bypass water from flowing around the filter cartridge rather than through it. Remove the cap, inspect the O-ring groove, replace the O-ring with a matched size (measure the existing O-ring diameter), and reinstall.
