Speakman lifetime warranty coverage
Speakman backs all residential showerheads with a limited lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser. Contact Speakman customer service at 1-800-537-2107 Monday through Friday with the model number (S-2252, VS-3013, etc.) and purchase information. Speakman ships replacement parts at no charge for covered claims. The warranty covers the plunger assembly, spray face nozzles, and finish.
Plunger spring assembly -- S-2252
The S-2252 plunger spring is the core mechanical component of Speakman's self-pressurizing design. The spring is rated for the product lifetime under normal water conditions. In water with very high calcium content (above 400 ppm hardness), mineral scale can accumulate on the plunger and reduce spring travel, which decreases pressure output. If the S-2252 spray becomes progressively weaker over months of use, descale by soaking the showerhead in a 1:1 white vinegar and water solution for 2-4 hours. If spray performance does not recover, request a plunger assembly replacement from Speakman customer service.
Spray face nozzles
The S-2252's 48 brass nozzles are fixed in the spray face. The spray face can be unscrewed from the showerhead body (counterclockwise) for cleaning. Soak in vinegar solution, use a toothbrush to clean nozzle orifices, and reattach. If nozzles are physically damaged, request a replacement spray face from Speakman customer service by model number. The spray face is not available at retail hardware stores -- Speakman direct is the source.
VS-3013 handheld hose
The VS-3013 handheld hose is a standard 60-inch, 1/2-inch ID flexible shower hose. If the connection at either end leaks and re-tightening does not resolve it, replace the hose. Standard replacement hoses from Speakman or aftermarket suppliers (any 60-inch 1/2-inch NPT shower hose) fit the VS-3013 diverter port and handheld inlet. Cost is $10-$20 at retail. Request from Speakman customer service for warranty replacement.
