How to change G-series filters
- The composite pre-filter module is on the left side of the G-series unit. Grip the module firmly, rotate counterclockwise a quarter turn, and pull straight down. No tools required. No water shuts off -- the unit has an internal check valve that closes automatically when the module is removed.
- Insert the new composite pre-filter module with the port alignment guides oriented correctly (there is only one correct orientation -- the module seats and rotates clockwise when correctly aligned). Push up and rotate clockwise until the lock click is felt.
- The RO membrane module is on the right side. Same quarter-turn procedure. Remove, insert new membrane module with ports aligned, rotate clockwise to lock.
- After replacing either filter, run water through the dedicated faucet for 1 minute to clear any air from the system. Check the TDS display (G3P800) to confirm output TDS has returned to normal operating levels.
G3P800 app filter tracking
The Waterdrop app tracks filter life by volume filtered, not by time. This is more accurate than time-based tracking -- a household that uses 1 gallon per day gets twice as much life from a filter as one that uses 2 gallons per day. The app sends a push notification when the composite pre-filter reaches 90% of rated capacity and again at 100%.
