Inside, the D6 runs a 3-stage composite filtration system: integrated pre-filter (sediment + carbon block) and an NSF 58 certified RO membrane at 600 GPD output. The pump is internal, so no line pressure is required -- the D6 runs equally well on the 20 PSI of a rental apartment or the 80 PSI of a suburban home. A TDS display on the front panel shows input and output TDS in real time, which is useful for verifying the membrane is performing correctly and for knowing when to schedule a replacement.
