WaterBoss Salt Type Recommendations
WaterBoss recommends pellet salt (sodium chloride) or solar salt crystals. Block salt and rock salt are not recommended — they create debris that can clog the internal brine valve. Morton Clean and Protect pellets or Diamond Crystal Bright and Soft pellets are the two most compatible choices. Add salt when the level falls to 1/4 full — do not allow the brine tank to run dry, as this will cause the resin to lose its charge.
