Bosch part 00311859 is the manufacturer-approved granulated regeneration salt for the built-in ion-exchange water softening system in Bosch dishwashers. The granulated format (rather than tablet or rock salt) is specifically sized to flow freely through the Bosch salt reservoir funnel and dissolve at the correct rate during the automated brine regeneration cycle, producing the ideal brine concentration to fully regenerate the resin bed. Purity of 99.7% NaCl ensures no impurities that would foul the ion-exchange resin or leave residue in the salt reservoir. Compatible with all Bosch dishwashers that feature an internal water softener (indicated by a salt reservoir in the dishwasher tub floor beneath a screw cap). Also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and other Bosch Group dishwasher brands that use the same internal softener platform.
