Aquasana SimplySoft Salt-Free Water Conditioner

The Aquasana SimplySoft is a salt-free whole-house water conditioner that uses SLOW PHOS technology -- a controlled-release polyphosphate matrix that coats dissolved calcium and magnesium ions with a thin phosphate film, preventing them from crystallizing into scale on pipe walls and heating surfaces. The system is rated for 300,000 gallons (approximately 3 years of residential use for a family of four) before the SLOW PHOS media requires replacement. Unlike TAC-based conditioners, the Aquasana SimplySoft is effective at all hardness levels tested, with NSF P473 certification for scale prevention. The system installs on the main supply line using standard 3/4-inch or 1-inch plumbing connections, requires no electricity, no drain line, and no salt. Flow rates up to 7 GPM suit 2-3 bathroom homes. The SimplySoft is commonly paired with the Aquasana Rhino EQ-1000 whole-house carbon filter to address chlorine, organics, and taste alongside scale prevention.
