The Suburban gas valve includes an integrated thermostat. Replacement is model-specific.
- SW6 / SW10 / SW12: typically Robertshaw or White-Rodgers
- SAW Advance: newer electronic-controlled variant
- DSI ignition module is separate from gas valve
When to replace
- Won\'t hold flame after new thermocouple (older pilot models)
- Won\'t modulate output (DSI / electronic models)
- Visible damage or corrosion
