SpringWell CF Media Life and Replacement
The SpringWell CF carbon media tank is rated for 1,000,000 gallons -- approximately 10 years for a 4-person household using 270 gallons per day total household consumption. No filter cartridges to replace during this period. At the end of media life, SpringWell sells a refill service where the depleted carbon media is replaced with fresh catalytic carbon and coconut shell carbon -- contact SpringWell for current media refill pricing (typically $200--$400 depending on tank size). The tank body, head, and bypass valve are not part of the media replacement -- only the carbon media is recharged. SpringWell backs the CF systems with a lifetime warranty on tanks and valve heads.
