PUR Classic Pitcher Setup
PUR pitcher setup: (1) Wash pitcher body and lid. (2) Remove filter from sealed bag and run under cold water 10 seconds. (3) Insert filter into pitcher reservoir -- twist clockwise until the filter stops (approximately 1/4 turn lock). Unlike Brita's snap-in design, PUR uses a twist-lock mechanism that provides a more secure seal. (4) Fill reservoir and discard the first full pitcher. (5) Press and hold the filter change indicator button for 5 seconds to start the countdown.
PUR Faucet Filter Installation
PUR PFM400H faucet filter installation: (1) Remove existing aerator. The PUR unit includes 4 adapter types covering approximately 95% of US residential faucet aerator sizes. (2) Select the adapter that matches your faucet thread (female or male, standard or metric). (3) Hand-tighten adapter onto faucet, then hand-tighten the PUR filter housing onto the adapter. (4) Open the filter housing, insert the PUR filter cartridge (confirm the orientation arrow points up), and close the housing. (5) Run filtered mode for 5 minutes before use to flush the carbon.
