Moen MFILTPRO Replacement Cartridges
The Moen MFILTPRO uses two replaceable filter stages: a 5-micron sediment pre-filter (replace every 6 months, $10--$15) and a carbon + scale inhibitor main cartridge (replace every 6 months or 100,000 gallons, $40--$65). Annual maintenance cost: $100--$160. Moen replacement cartridges are available at Home Depot and Amazon -- the cartridges are Moen-proprietary and not interchangeable with other brands. Moen shower filter replacement: the KDF insert for Moen shower filters (sold separately, $12--$20) replaces every 6 months at most shower use frequencies. Moen product warranty: 5-year limited on the MFILTPRO, lifetime limited on Moen faucets affected by water quality.
