Brita Ultramax 18-Cup Dispensing Water Filter
Brita Ultramax 18-Cup Dispensing Water Filter Review
Brita Ultramax: High-Capacity Countertop Dispensing
The Brita Ultramax holds 18 cups (4.26 liters) of filtered water and dispenses through a spigot tap on the front face -- no tilting or lifting required. This design makes it practical for countertop placement at refrigerator height where it can be filled from below-sink water and dispensed at counter level. It ships with the Longlast filter (120-gallon life, NSF 42 and 53 certified for chlorine taste/odor and lead reduction).
Spigot vs Pitcher Pour
The spigot dispenses approximately 6 ounces per second -- slower than pouring from a pitcher but ergonomically easier for children, elderly users, or anyone filling bottles frequently throughout the day. The reservoir lid opens to access the filter and refill the top tank. The design stores well on a bottom refrigerator shelf if counter space is limited.
- 18-cup capacity reduces refill frequency
- Longlast filter included -- 120 gallons, NSF 42/53
- Spigot dispense -- no lifting
- Fits refrigerator shelf for cold filtered water
- Slower fill rate than pitcher pour
- Larger footprint than pitcher on counter
