Loading Bosch Dishwasher Regeneration Salt
The Bosch salt chamber is the round cap in the bottom of the dishwasher tub (twist counterclockwise to open). On first use: fill the chamber with water first, then pour in the salt (pour slowly to displace the water). On subsequent fills, just pour salt into the chamber -- no water needed if any residual salt remains. Fill until the salt is level with the chamber rim. Replace the cap (twist clockwise until snug). Run a rinse cycle after adding salt to flush any salt granules from the dishwasher interior. Never use the dishwasher with an empty salt chamber in hard water -- the resin bed will harden if it dries out without salt for extended periods.
