The GE Profile Opal 2.0 is a countertop nugget ice maker and water dispenser -- a product at the intersection of ice making and water dispensing that addresses the specific demand for "Sonic-style" nugget ice in home settings. Placement requirements

The Opal 2.0 requires: a 120V/15A outlet (standard household circuit), a countertop position with 2" rear clearance for the compressor exhaust, and access for manual reservoir filling. Connection to a water line is optional (with a separate Opal Line Kit) -- in the default configuration, the user fills the reservoir manually approximately every 2-3 days at average use. The unit drains condensation internally -- no drain connection required.
