Claryum Direct Connect installation
1. Unscrew the existing aerator from the kitchen faucet (hand-tight counterclockwise -- use rubber gloves or a cloth for grip). 2. Identify the thread size (15/16"-27 is the most common US standard; the Aquasana package includes adapters for common sizes). 3. Thread on the diverter adapter. 4. Connect the 1/4" supply tube from the diverter to the Claryum filter unit. 5. Mount the Claryum filter under the sink using the included bracket or leave it on the countertop beside the sink. 6. Turn the diverter handle to filter mode to test flow. 7. Run 5 minutes of filtered water to waste before drinking -- this flushes carbon fines from the new filter.
Faucet thread compatibility
The Aquasana diverter adapter includes male/female thread options for 15/16"-27, 55/64"-27, and 3/4"-27 thread sizes. If your faucet has a different thread size (common on pull-out spray faucets and commercial-style faucets), Aquasana sells additional adapter sizes separately. Aquasana's compatibility line (1-866-662-6885) can confirm adapter compatibility for specific faucet models.
