The filter life is 40 gallons (the same as the Brita Sport plastic bottle). The stainless exterior resists scratches and odor absorption better than polypropylene alternatives -- important for users who carry the bottle in bags alongside other items. A leak-proof screw-top lid with a built-in carry loop makes the Premium bottle suitable for travel and outdoor use.
