TOTO TS300A: Japanese Engineering for Rain Performance

TOTO applies the same material science found in its washlet seats to the TS300A showerhead. The nozzle plate uses a laser-precision honeycomb array that produces consistently sized droplets -- TOTO refers to this as a micro-bubble formation that retains heat longer than conventional nozzle patterns. At 2.5 GPM across the 8-inch square face, the coverage area is among the largest for standard arm-mount heads.

Build and Materials

The head body is ABS resin with TOTO Cerametallic ceramic-core nozzles -- harder than silicone and fully calcium-resistant. The square face plate is flat (not curved), which TOTO engineers found produces the most even flow distribution across the face without channeling toward the center. The ball joint at the arm connection allows 15 degrees of angle adjustment.

Unlike competitors that bundle multiple spray modes, the TS300A offers one mode executed at the highest possible quality. TOTO targets users who want a hotel-quality rain experience, not feature variety. The head is compatible with all standard 1/2-inch NPT shower arms, including ceiling-mounted configurations when paired with TOTO arm extensions.
