Kenzo fixed showerhead installation
Remove the existing showerhead. Clean the arm threads. Apply 3 wraps of Teflon tape clockwise around the arm threads. Thread the Kenzo showerhead clockwise by hand until the inlet washer is snug against the arm face. Apply one quarter-turn with an adjustable wrench -- use a cloth between the wrench and the Spot Defense finish to prevent scratching. The Spot Defense clear coat is durable but can be scratched by metal tools without protection. Turn on the water and test all six spray settings by rotating the collar ring.
Pivot ball mount installation
The Pfister Pivot handheld includes a wall bracket with an integral ball-mount socket. The wall bracket threads onto the shower arm via a standard connection (Teflon tape applied). Attach the ball-mount bracket to the arm. Insert the Pivot handheld into the ball socket -- it should click in with a tactile stop at the neutral position. Loosen the collar on the bracket, adjust the spray angle to the desired position (up to 30 degrees in any direction), and re-tighten the collar to lock the angle. Test the spray at the locked angle to confirm no rotation under water pressure.
Saxton first-use spray cycling
The Saxton's 8 spray settings cycle via a central knob on the spray face. After installation, rotate the knob through all 8 positions to verify each setting is distinct and functional. The positions are labeled on the face collar. If any setting produces no or weak flow, mineral debris may be in the inlet -- remove the showerhead, flush the inlet for 30 seconds with the water running, reinstall, and re-test. The debris flush resolves most "dead setting" issues without product replacement.
Finish protection during installation
Pfister Spot Defense finish is a clear hydrophobic coating that can be scratched by metal tools. Always use a cloth or tape between any metal tool and the showerhead body during installation. Do not use channel-lock pliers directly on the body -- use only the hexagonal connection nut (if present) or the arm connection fitting for wrench contact. After installation, wipe the body with a dry microfiber cloth to remove any fingerprints from the installation process.
