Delta lifetime warranty -- file before you buy
Delta's limited lifetime warranty covers all parts and finishes for the life of the original purchaser. Before purchasing any replacement part, contact Delta customer service at 1-800-345-3358 or via delta.com with the model number. Delta will ship most parts at no charge. The model number is stamped into the back of the showerhead body near the inlet or printed on the original packaging. Keep the original packaging or photograph the back of the showerhead before installation.
In2ition replacement hose -- RP51781
The Delta In2ition handheld hose is part RP51781 (60-inch, chrome/brushed nickel). The hose connects between the showerhead body and the handheld unit and is the most commonly replaced part on the In2ition due to flexing wear at the handheld connection. Replace when the connection leaks and re-tightening does not resolve the drip. Cost is approximately $15-$25 at retail; available from Delta customer service under warranty if within coverage period.
Touch-Clean spray nozzle plate
Delta's Touch-Clean nozzle plates (the silicone spray face) are replaceable on models where the face is designed for removal. Most Delta showerheads allow the face to be removed by unthreading the face ring counterclockwise. The replacement nozzle plate is ordered by model number and costs $10-$20. If the plate is within warranty, Delta ships replacements at no charge. Cleaning before replacement: soak the nozzle plate in 1:1 white vinegar and water for 30 minutes and scrub with a soft toothbrush.
O-rings and inlet washers
The inlet washer (the flat rubber washer at the shower arm connection) is the most common cause of drips at the wall after installation. It is a standard 5/8" OD plumbing washer available at any hardware store for $1-$2. The swivel O-rings (on adjustable-angle showerheads) are ordered by model number from Delta customer service. If the showerhead drips from the ball joint or pivot point, O-ring replacement is the correct repair. Remove the showerhead from the arm, pull the ball joint apart, and replace the O-ring on the ball shaft with a matched size.
