IC-EFF-R replacement cartridge

It contains approximately 4 oz of KDF-55 media and is rated for 10,000 gallons (approximately 6-12 months at average household use). O-ring for cartridge housing cap
The cartridge housing cap on Culligan filtered showerheads uses a small O-ring seal to prevent leakage past the housing. If the housing cap drips after cartridge replacement and re-tightening does not stop it, the O-ring has worn or is seated incorrectly. The O-ring is a standard small-diameter rubber O-ring (bring the existing O-ring to a hardware store to match) or request from Culligan customer service at 1-800-CULLIGAN. Replacement O-rings cost under $2 at hardware stores.
Showerhead body -- warranty coverage
Culligan covers showerhead body defects under a limited warranty (typically 1-2 years for the showerhead body, cartridge excluded). Spray face nozzle damage, housing cracks, and diverter failures (on multi-spray models) are covered under the warranty. Cartridge performance degradation is not a warranty claim -- it is normal filter media exhaustion and requires cartridge replacement.
Spray face maintenance
Culligan showerhead nozzles are standard injection-molded plastic on budget models. In hard water, nozzles accumulate mineral deposits that reduce flow. Monthly maintenance: spray the nozzle face with undiluted white vinegar, let sit for 5-10 minutes, and wipe with a damp cloth. For heavy buildup, remove the showerhead from the arm, remove the filter cartridge, and soak the full showerhead body in a 1:1 vinegar-water solution for 30-60 minutes.
