What is in the Aquadance HHC2 box

The HHC2 ships with: the 7-inch overhead showerhead, the 4.5-inch handheld unit, a 5-foot stainless steel braided hose, the 3-way diverter body (which also serves as the shower arm connection), a wall bracket for the handheld, Teflon tape, and a rubber inlet washer. All hardware for complete installation is included -- no separate parts purchases needed.

Installation sequence

Step 1: Remove the existing showerhead from the shower arm. Clean the arm threads. Step 2: Apply Teflon tape (3 wraps, clockwise) to the arm threads. Step 3: Thread the 3-way diverter body onto the arm clockwise -- this is the main connection point. Hand-tighten plus a quarter-turn with the wrench. Step 4: The overhead showerhead threads onto the top of the diverter body. Apply Teflon tape to the diverter's top threads and hand-tighten the overhead head. Step 5: Connect the 5-foot hose to the bottom port of the diverter body (Teflon tape, hand-tighten plus quarter-turn). Step 6: Connect the other end of the hose to the handheld unit. Step 7: Mount the handheld wall bracket (either on the slide bar or on a wall hook -- the included bracket mounts with a single screw or uses the suction cup if drilling is not permitted).

Diverter position testing

Turn on the water with the diverter in position 1 (overhead only). Verify full flow to the overhead. Rotate the diverter to position 2 (handheld only) -- flow should transfer completely to the handheld. Rotate to position 3 (simultaneous) -- both heads should receive flow. If either head drips when it should be off, the diverter valve is not fully seated -- remove the diverter body, disassemble the valve, and re-seat the O-ring behind the ball valve according to the instruction sheet.

Hose kinking prevention

The Aquadance 5-foot hose is stainless steel braided but can kink at the connection points if the handheld is dropped repeatedly or stored at an acute angle. Use the wall bracket to store the handheld at a natural hanging angle. If the hose develops a permanent kink, replace with any standard 60-inch 1/2-inch NPT braided shower hose ($10-$15 at hardware stores) -- the connection sizing is universal.
