GE GXFM07C Faucet Mount Water Filter
GE GXFM07C Faucet Mount Water Filter Review
GE GXFM07C: Simple Faucet Filtration from a Major Appliance Brand
The GE GXFM07C brings faucet filtration into the GE appliance ecosystem -- the same filtration technology used in GE refrigerator water dispensers, adapted to a faucet-mount form factor. The carbon block cartridge is NSF 42 certified for chlorine taste and odor reduction and also reduces particulate sediment to Class VI (50 microns) -- the same sediment class as GE refrigerator replacement filters.
100-Gallon Filter Capacity
The GXFM07C cartridge (model FXFMKC) is rated for 100 gallons, approximately 6-8 weeks of filtered use for a single person. An electronic filter-life indicator on the unit counts down from 100 gallons and alerts when replacement is needed. At approximately $10 per replacement cartridge, annual operating cost is around $65-80.
Mount and Diverter
Standard thread adapter kit covers the most common faucet aerator sizes. The diverter switches between tap and filtered output with a single lever. The unit swivels 360 degrees at the mounting point to position the filter body away from the faucet handle.
