American Standard 4175.300 Colony Pro Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet Review
American Standard Colony Pro 4175.300: WaterSense Pull-Down
The American Standard Colony Pro 4175.300 is one of the few pull-down kitchen faucets with WaterSense certification at 1.5 GPM. Most WaterSense kitchen products are confined to bathroom applications; American Standard extended their conservation platform to the kitchen by integrating a high-efficiency aerator that maintains rinse performance at reduced flow using a turbine-assist similar to their FloWise showerhead technology.
Spray Modes
Stream, Spray, and Pause. The spray head hose extends 24 inches with a counterweight auto-retract system. The Pause mode maintains temperature position -- restart at the same temperature after a lathering pause. The head pivot allows 180-degree spray direction adjustment while docked, useful for directing flow to different sink zones without moving the hose.
Regulatory Compliance
WaterSense, ADA compliant, ASME A112.18.1, CSA B125.1, and NSF 61/9 certified for material safety. The NSF 61/9 certification covers the internal wetted materials -- brass, copper, and rubber -- ensuring no leaching of lead or other contaminants into drinking water. This certification is not universal among kitchen faucets and is particularly important for filtered-water systems connected downstream.
