Nozzle Tip Replacement -- FB-3000 and FB-3575
The Waterpik nozzle tip (part FB-TIP-01, compatible with both FB-3000 and FB-3575) is the convergent orifice component at the end of the nozzle wand. Because the tip geometry is central to spray performance, this is the first part to check when spray quality degrades. The tip unscrews counterclockwise from the nozzle wand tip -- no tools required, just finger-tight removal. Mineral scale typically builds up inside the orifice first, narrowing the exit diameter and reducing spray coherence. Soak the removed tip in white vinegar for 15 minutes before discarding -- if scale clears and spray restores, the tip does not need replacement yet. Replace when vinegar soaking no longer restores spray quality.
Full Nozzle Wand Replacement
When the nozzle wand itself is damaged (bent retraction rod, cracked housing, failed self-cleaning mechanism), replace the full wand assembly (part FB-NZL-3000 for the FB-3000, part FB-NZL-3575 for the FB-3575 -- the 3575 wand includes the pulsation port fitting). Press the release tab on the wand housing, pull the wand rearward, and slide in the replacement. The inlet filter (part FB-FLT-01, 6-month replacement interval) is at the water inlet coupling on the left rear. A clogged filter reduces pressure to the nozzle and stresses the solenoid valve.
Pulsation Diaphragm Valve -- FB-3575 Specific
The pulsation diaphragm valve (part FB-PULSE-01) is unique to the FB-3575. This small cam-driven valve creates the pressure oscillation in pulsating mode. Signs of diaphragm wear include pulsating mode producing a steady stream instead of pulsation, or an abnormal buzzing sound during pulsating mode. The valve is accessible from the lower shell of the seat after removing the seat from the mounting plate and opening the four lower shell screws. The diaphragm itself is a rubber disc that can harden and crack with age -- inspect for visible cracking when diagnosing pulsation loss.
RF Remote and Solenoid Valve Replacement
The FB-3575 RF remote (part FB-RMT-3575) uses two AAA batteries. If the remote becomes unresponsive after battery replacement, re-pair it using the pairing sequence described in the installation section. The main solenoid valve (part FB-SOL-01, 12V DC normally-closed) controls water delivery to the nozzle on both models. Solenoid failure typically presents as no water flow or continuous water flow after cycle completion.
