The State Premier 40-Gallon Electric is the smaller-capacity sibling of the State Premier 50-Gallon Electric — A.O. Smith's plumber-channel State-branded 40-gallon electric tank with the longest warranty in the State lineup.

The 12-year warranty matches A.O. Smith Signature Premier at the same engineering tier. The State Premier line provides the same long-warranty electric tank through the plumber-supply channel as Signature Premier provides through Lowe's. Plumbers buying through their wholesale distributor receive State Premier at slightly different trade pricing.
