Eemax HomeAdvantage II 36 kW Whole-House Electric Tankless Water Heater
Eemax HomeAdvantage II 36 kW Whole-House Electric Tankless Water Heater Review
The Eemax HomeAdvantage II 36 kW is the largest whole-house electric tankless in Eemax's residential line. 36 kW with commercial-grade brass construction throughout. Sized for high-demand whole-house applications.
Specs: 36 kW, three 60-amp double-pole breakers, 150A continuous draw at 240V. Requires 200A service with substantial headroom (or 300A service for clean fit). Brass construction throughout. 3-year warranty on heat exchanger.
Capacity: 3.7 GPM at a 60°F rise (cold-climate winter) or 5.5 GPM at a 40°F rise (Sun Belt). Handles 2-bath simultaneous demand in cold climates, 3-bath simultaneous in warm climates.
The 36 kW class is at the upper limit of practical residential electric tankless. Higher capacity exists in commercial models but residential electrical service capacity becomes limiting beyond this point.
About $1,700 unit, $3,400 installed including the heavy electrical work. Right buyer: large home (3+ bathrooms) without gas service, with adequate electrical service. The Stiebel Eltron Tempra 36 Plus is the German premium competitor in this class at similar capacity but different positioning (premium engineering vs commercial-grade build).
