The Bosch Tronic 6000 C 2.5-gallon mini-tank is a point-of-use water heater that mounts under a sink or vanity to eliminate the long wait for hot water at a remote fixture. Where the main water heater is in a basement and the kitchen sink or guest bath is 50+ feet of pipe away, the standard solution is recirculation (expensive plumbing) or a mini-tank like this one. The Tronic 6000 C is the higher-tier option in Bosch's mini-tank line, distinguished from the Tronic 3000 T by faster recovery, higher first-hour rating, and a built-in vacation mode.

Specs: 2.5 gallons stored, 1440W heating element (single 120V outlet — no 240V required), about 8 minutes from cold to setpoint, recovery rate roughly 8 gallons per hour. The 120V power requirement is the major fit advantage — installs anywhere there's a standard outlet, which under almost every sink there is.

Right uses: kitchen sink with a long hot-water run from the main heater (instant hot at the tap for handwash and dish-rinsing), guest bath in a finished basement where the main system is two floors away, wet bar where hot water access is wanted without plumbing a full feed, RV hookup.
