Bosch Tronic 3210 6-Gallon Mini Tank Water Heater
Bosch Tronic 3210 6-Gallon Mini Tank Water Heater Review
The Bosch Tronic 3210 is a 6-gallon mini-tank water heater, positioned between Bosch's 2.5-gallon Tronic 3000T and the 10-gallon Tronic 7000C. The 6-gallon capacity is the sweet spot for many point-of-use applications where 2.5 gallons is inadequate and 10 gallons is unnecessary.
Specs: 6 gallons stored, 1440W heating element on 120V (standard outlet), recovery rate roughly 8 gallons per hour, UEF 0.90+, vacuum-insulated tank for low standby losses. Mounts wall or floor. About 14" diameter × 22" tall.
The 120V power requirement is the defining install advantage — installs anywhere there's a standard outlet. No panel slot, no 240V circuit, no electrician required for typical installs. This makes the 3210 suitable for retrofit installations where adding 240V wiring would require significant electrical work.
Capacity calculation: 6 gallons stored + 8 gph recovery = 14 gallons in the first hour. Covers handwash and dish-rinse use at a remote kitchen sink; covers brief shower (3-4 minute at 1.5 GPM) with marginal margin; inadequate for sustained shower demand.
Right buyer: guest bath in finished basement, secondary kitchen sink in an in-law suite, pool house bathroom, garage workshop. Wrong buyer: primary household water heater. About $290 unit, $400–$500 installed (DIY-reasonable for any homeowner with basic plumbing skill). 5-year warranty on the tank, 1-year on parts.
