Installing an In-Line Filter for a Bio Bidet Seat

The simplest water quality upgrade for Bio Bidet owners: an in-line filter cartridge installed on the toilet cold water supply line between the shutoff valve and the bidet T-adapter. Inline filters for toilet supply lines (Camco 40043, Watts Aqua-Pure, or equivalent, $20--$35) install in 10 minutes: (1) Shut off the toilet water supply valve. (2) Disconnect the bidet T-adapter from the supply valve. (3) Thread the inline filter housing onto the supply valve (standard 3/8" compression thread). (4) Thread the bidet T-adapter onto the inline filter outlet. (5) Restore supply and check for leaks. Replace the inline filter cartridge every 6 months. This reduces chlorine and sediment reaching the bidet nozzle heater without affecting the rest of the home's plumbing.
