Berkey gravity filter lineup
Berkey produces gravity filter systems in sizes from the Travel Berkey (1.5-gallon, for 1-2 people) to the Crown Berkey (6-gallon, for institutional use). All use the Black Berkey filter element as the core filtration media -- the size difference is the upper chamber volume and the number of filter elements. More elements = faster filtration throughput per hour.

Big Berkey -- the right choice for most households
The BK4X2 with two elements handles a 2-4 person household comfortably, producing 3.5 GPH -- approximately 84 gallons per day, far more than a typical household's drinking and cooking water demand. Upgrade to four elements if the household drinks heavily or if cooking volume is high (the Big Berkey's 2.25-gallon upper chamber limits throughput more than the filter element count in high-demand scenarios).
