Jacuzzi toilet installation overview

Jacuzzi uses standard US 12-inch rough-in + universal aftermarket parts. Install procedures match other residential toilets. One-piece models (smart toilets and designer skirted) require two-person install. Smart toilet models additionally require 110V electrical for bidet seat operation.

Tools required

  • Adjustable wrench (8-10 inch)
  • Channel-lock pliers
  • Screwdriver (Phillips + flathead)
  • Level (4-foot)
  • Bucket + sponge

Materials required

  • Wax ring (Korky 6000 or Fluidmaster 7530, $5-$10) — typically NOT included with Jacuzzi
  • Floor flange bolts ($3-$5 brass set)
  • 12" braided supply line ($5-$10) — replace at install
  • SoftClose seat (typically included with Jacuzzi)

Standard Jacuzzi two-piece install (45-60 min)

  1. Shut off water at under-toilet shutoff valve
  2. Flush old toilet to empty
  3. Disconnect supply line, remove old toilet
  4. Install wax ring on flange
  5. Set Jacuzzi bowl on flange, verify plumb
  6. Hand-tighten flange bolts only
  7. Install tank-bowl gasket on flush valve outlet
  8. Set tank on bowl, cross-tighten bolts 1/4 turn alternately
  9. Connect supply line, restore water
  10. Test 3-5 flushes
  11. Install bundled SoftClose seat

One-piece install — additional considerations

  • Two-person lift required (~90-100 lbs single unit)
  • NEVER twist during placement
  • Floor must be flat — setting compound if needed
  • Wax ring with horn recommended
  • Floor flange at/below floor level for skirted models

Smart toilet install — electrical requirements

  • 110V GFCI-protected outlet within 4 feet of toilet location
  • Dedicated 15-amp circuit recommended for high-power bidet seats
  • Cold water supply only (smart toilet heats water internally)
  • Jacuzzi bidet seat installation per manufacturer instructions

Common Jacuzzi install mistakes

  • Wax ring not purchased: Jacuzzi ships without wax ring despite bundled seat
  • Tank-bowl bolts overtightened: cracks porcelain
  • One-piece on out-of-level floor: cracks at unsupported edge
  • Skirted-trapway flange not below floor level: won't seat correctly
  • Smart toilet without GFCI outlet: code violation in bathrooms
