SWRO Pre-Filter Replacement Set
SpringWell sells the SWRO pre-filter set (Stage 1 sediment and Stage 2 carbon block) as a bundled replacement kit. Replace every 6 to 12 months depending on feed water quality -- well water sediment loads and chloramine levels from municipal supplies both accelerate carbon and sediment filter consumption. A visual indicator: if the sediment filter is brown throughout its depth (not just on the outer surface), it reached saturation before the 6-month interval. Add a second sediment pre-filter stage upstream in high-sediment well water applications; SpringWell can configure this at the time of order.
SWRO RO Membrane
The SWRO membrane is a 75 GPD or 100 GPD TFC type in the standard 1.8-inch x 11-inch format. SpringWell sells OEM membranes; equivalent Dow Filmtec membranes (TW30-1812-75 or -100) are dimensionally identical and fully compatible. Replace when TDS rejection drops below 94 percent as measured by TDS meter, or after 24 to 36 months. Well water installations often require earlier membrane replacement (12 to 18 months) if iron or hardness pre-treatment is insufficient -- test TDS monthly in well water applications to catch membrane degradation early.
Storage Tank
SpringWell SWRO ships with a 3.2-gallon pressurized storage tank; a 4.5-gallon upgrade is available from SpringWell at the time of purchase or as an add-on. Both tanks use the standard 1/4-inch male fitting and Schrader valve for pre-charge. Tank bladder failure (symptom: water flows from the faucet in a steady trickle instead of at pressure -- tank is full of water with no air pressure reserve) requires tank replacement. SpringWell lifetime warranty covers the tank body; tank bladder replacement requires full tank swap.
Downstream Post-Filter and Accessories
The Stage 4 post-carbon polishing filter is replaced every 12 months. It is sold as a single cartridge or as part of the annual maintenance kit (sediment, carbon pre-filter, post-carbon, and membrane all in one shipment). SpringWell also sells UV sterilization add-on units that mount on the SWRO output line and provide an additional log-4 reduction of bacteria and viruses -- appropriate for well water applications where biological contamination is a concern alongside dissolved mineral and chemical removal.
