Bio Bidet bidet seat installation overview

Bio Bidet electric bidet seats install on existing residential toilet bowls. Universal seat mounting fits standard elongated (18.5") and round-front (16.5") bowls. Install time: 30-45 minutes DIY. Requires 110V GFCI-protected outlet within 4 feet of toilet location.

Pre-install requirements

  • 110V GFCI-protected outlet within 4 feet of toilet (US bathroom electrical code)
  • Cold water supply at toilet (T-connector installation)
  • Standard elongated or round-front toilet bowl
  • Universal seat mounting (5.5" bolt spread)

Install procedure (30-45 min)

  1. Remove existing toilet seat (lift hinge caps, unscrew bolts)
  2. Shut off water at under-toilet shutoff valve
  3. Flush toilet to release water from tank
  4. Disconnect supply line from bottom of tank
  5. Install Bio Bidet T-connector at supply line position
  6. Reconnect original supply line to T-connector + Bio Bidet supply hose to bidet seat input
  7. Position Bio Bidet seat on toilet bowl, aligning with mounting bolts
  8. Insert mounting bolts from above, secure nuts from below
  9. Plug bidet seat into GFCI outlet
  10. Restore water at shutoff valve
  11. Test all functions: wash, dry, heating
  12. Verify GFCI test/reset functions correctly

Common install mistakes

  • No GFCI outlet — code violation in bathrooms
  • Wrong supply T-connector size (verify 3/8" or 1/2" to match toilet supply)
  • Bolts overtightened (cracks porcelain at mounting boss)
  • Bidet seat installed on cracked toilet bowl (replace bowl first)
  • Forgetting to verify cold water supply (some homes have hot+cold reversed)
