Empava 60" Freestanding Soaking Bathtub EMPV-60FT001
Empava 60" Freestanding Soaking Bathtub EMPV-60FT001 Review
Empava EMPV-60FT001 -- value freestanding soaker at 60 inches
The Empava EMPV-60FT001 is a non-jetted freestanding soaking tub -- the plain soaker variant in Empava's lineup, positioned for buyers who want freestanding aesthetics without the complexity (and maintenance) of a jet system. At 60 inches long and $650-$950, it competes directly with the Woodbridge B-0001 and similar value freestanding tubs, differentiating on styling rather than features.
The EMPV-60FT001 uses a single-ended sloped backrest design: one end of the interior basin has a 25-degree reclining slope, and the opposite end is nearly vertical for a bather who prefers to sit upright. This design allows two bathers to use the tub facing each other with both having adequate back support -- a genuine double-ended functional design at a single-ended price point.
Construction details
The shell is reinforced acrylic at approximately 7mm wall thickness, with fiberglass backing on the outer surfaces. The glossy white finish is standard; no other colors are available. Chrome pop-up drain and overflow assembly are included. The tub weighs approximately 88 pounds empty -- slightly lighter than the Woodbridge B-0012 (92 lbs) and well within the two-person installation range. The base feet are integrated stainless steel legs that adjust +/-1/2 inch for leveling on uneven floors.
