7 flashes = Gas valve internal fault. The integrated gas control assembly has detected an internal failure.

What this means

Gas valve includes: main solenoid, pilot solenoid, thermostat, ECO safety, FVIR sensor, LED indicator. Internal self-test detected fault in one of these.

  • End of service life (gas valves typically 12-15 years)

Reset attempts

Cycle gas valve through off → pilot → on three times. If 7 flashes persists, valve is failed.
