How to find your Rheem manual
- Locate your exact model number on the data plate sticker — see our age lookup page for where to find the sticker
- Visit Rheem.com/Tools/Manuals — enter the model number, select your manual type (User, Install, Service Parts)
- Download as PDF — Rheem keeps manuals available for 20+ years past discontinuation
If the exact model isn't in the Rheem database (very rare — usually only commercial or international variants), call Rheem at 1-800-621-5622 and they can email a copy.
Manual types
- Use & Care Manual — homeowner-facing. Temperature settings, basic troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, warranty registration. The "what to do when something's wrong" manual.
- Installation Manual — installer-facing. Gas line sizing, venting requirements, electrical specs, clearance requirements, code compliance details. Read this even if you're hiring out the install — verify your installer is following the spec.
- Parts Diagram / Service Manual — service-tech-facing. Exploded view of all replaceable parts with Rheem part numbers. Critical when ordering replacement parts.
- EcoNet User Guide — for WiFi-equipped Performance Platinum, ProTerra, and RTGH tankless. Pairing, app navigation, alert configuration.

What if I lost my manual and don't know the exact model number?
- Find the data plate sticker — see our age lookup page for typical locations
- Take a photo of the entire sticker
- If the sticker is unreadable, look for a secondary plate inside the burner access door (gas) or under the upper element panel (electric)
- Worst case, call Rheem with the serial number alone — they can sometimes cross-reference to the model
