Updated May 2026 · Niagara Toilets

Niagara Conservation (Fort Worth, Texas) toilets are engineering-specialty products — the Stealth 0.8 GPF is the lowest-flow gravity toilet IAPMO-certified, with a proprietary vacuum-assist trapway. That engineering means some Niagara parts (the vacuum-assist mechanism, the specialized flush valve) are Niagara-direct only. Other parts (fill valve, seat, tank bolts, handle) use US-standard fittings that universal aftermarket parts fit.

The Niagara line and what parts apply

  • Stealth (original) / Stealth Sabre — 0.8 GPF vacuum-assist trapway. The flush mechanism is Niagara-proprietary. Fill valve and flapper are still standard.
  • Liberty — 1.28 GPF traditional gravity. Universal flapper and fill valve fit perfectly. The plumber-friendly Niagara.
  • Phantom — 1.6 GPF traditional. Universal parts throughout.
  • Steaful — 1.28 GPF entry tier. Universal parts.

Stealth-specific parts (proprietary)

The Niagara Stealth's vacuum-assist mechanism is what makes the 0.8 GPF flush work. It's a sealed plastic dome above the flush valve that creates a partial vacuum during flush, accelerating waste through the trapway. Service parts include:

  • Vacuum-assist dome assembly — Niagara part 77000WHA-S. ~$45. Order direct from Niagara Customer Service (1-800-831-8383). Typical service life: 10–15 years before seal degradation.
  • Stealth flapper (specialized) — Niagara part 77000WHA-F. ~$15. The Stealth flapper has a unique profile to maintain vacuum during flush. Universal flappers will not work on a Stealth.
  • Stealth trip lever — Niagara part 77000WHA-T. ~$25.

Universal parts that fit all Niagaras

  • Fluidmaster 400A fill valve — $10–$15. Fits Stealth, Liberty, Phantom, Steaful. The universal pick.
  • Korky 528 fill valve — $10. Same fit.
  • Korky 481BP tank-to-bowl gasket kit — $12. Fits all Niagara two-piece bowls.
  • Bemis 1500EC (elongated soft-close seat) — $35. Fits all Niagara elongated bowls.
  • Mayfair 880SLOWA (round soft-close) — $30. Fits Niagara round-front bowls.
  • Danco 89280 universal chrome handle — $12. Fits all Niagara residential.

Common Niagara repair-cost benchmarks

  • Stealth vacuum-assist dome replacement: $45 part, 30 min DIY
  • Stealth flapper: $15 part, 10 min DIY
  • Universal fill valve (any Niagara): $10–$15, 20 min DIY
  • Tank-to-bowl gasket: $12, 45 min DIY
  • Seat replacement: $30–$50, 10 min DIY
  • Plumber service call: $180–$280 — usually only worth it for the vacuum-assist replacement on a Stealth

Niagara warranty position

5 years on tank trim, lifetime on porcelain, 5-year warranty on vacuum-assist trapway mechanism (on Stealth models). Customer service is responsive — direct phone support during Central US business hours, parts ship 5–7 business days. Replacing a Niagara-branded flapper with a universal Korky or Fluidmaster does not void warranty on the porcelain — only the specific replaced trim part is no longer Niagara-covered.
