Zurn Commercial Toilet Repair — Facility Maintenance Service Guide

Zurn commercial repair centers on Z6000 flushometer service: diaphragm replacement, rebuild kits, sensor module service, battery replacement. Bowl repairs are rare.

Zurn commercial repair — focused on flushometer, not bowl

Unlike residential toilets where the bowl/tank is the primary service item, Zurn commercial maintenance is dominated by the flushometer valve. Bowls have 25-40 year service life with minimal maintenance; flushometers have 12-18 year service life with periodic rebuild touchpoints.

Z6000 diaphragm replacement procedure (commercial plumber, 30 min)

  1. Shut off building water supply OR isolate to single fixture (recommended: shut off building if no isolation valve)
  2. Remove Z6000 outer cover (typically Allen key)
  3. Use Z6000 service tool (or large wrench) to remove diaphragm assembly
  4. Install new diaphragm from Z6000 rebuild kit, matching orientation marks
  5. Replace outer cover
  6. Restore water supply
  7. Test 5-7 flush cycles for proper operation
