The 3 kW class is for handwash applications only — not shower-grade flow. Common installs: powder room handwash basin remote from main water heater, medical/dental office handwash, ADA-compliant handwash station.
About $340 unit, $500-$650 installed. Right buyer: very specific single-fixture handwash application where the ultra-compact form factor matters. For most residential applications, the larger Stiebel Eltron DHC 6-2 or EcoSmart POU 6 better serve typical needs.
