The EcoSmart POU 9 is a 9 kW point-of-use electric tankless water heater designed for single-fixture small shower applications. Larger than the POU 3.5 and POU 6, smaller than the whole-house ECO 11 and ECO 18.
Specs: 9 kW, single 40-amp double-pole breaker, 38A continuous draw at 240V. Capacity: 1.3 GPM at a 40°F rise — sized for a small bathroom shower in warm climates.
The 9 kW class fills the gap between point-of-use handwash units and whole-house electric tankless. Right answer for: ADU/in-law suite small bathroom, finished basement bath with single shower, pool house bathroom, vacation cabin with light shower use.
