The EcoSmart ECO MINI 6 is a 6-gallon point-of-use mini-tank water heater designed for moderate-demand single-fixture applications. Largest in EcoSmart's MINI line (between the 2.5 and 4 gallon variants and below their whole-house ECO 8/11/18/27 line).
Specs: 6 gallons stored, 1440W heating element on standard 120V outlet, recovery rate roughly 8 gallons per hour, vacuum-insulated tank for low standby losses. About 14" diameter × 22" tall.
The 6-gallon capacity covers more applications than smaller mini-tanks while still operating on standard 120V power (no 240V circuit required). Right uses: secondary bathroom in finished basement, in-law suite kitchen, pool house bathroom, garage utility sink with occasional small water demand.
Capacity calculation: 6 gallons stored + 8 gph recovery = 14 gallons available in the first hour. Adequate for handwash + dishwashing + brief shower (3-4 minutes at 1.5 GPM); inadequate for sustained shower demand.
6-year warranty on the tank, 5 years on parts. About $250 unit, $400-$550 installed. DIY-reasonable for any homeowner with basic plumbing skill. Compatible with most standard 1/2" NPT plumbing connections.
