The EcoSmart ECO 24 is a 24 kW whole-house electric tankless water heater, mid-size in EcoSmart's whole-house line between the ECO 18 and ECO 27. Right-sized for 2-bath warm-climate homes or 1.5-bath cold-climate homes.
Specs: 24 kW, two 50-amp double-pole breakers, 100A continuous draw at 240V. Requires 200A service or 100A service with substantial load-shed. Stainless steel heat exchanger. Patented self-modulating power control. Lifetime warranty on heat exchanger AND electronics.
Capacity: 2.9 GPM at a 60°F rise (cold-climate winter) or 4.2 GPM at a 40°F rise (Sun Belt). Handles single-shower-at-a-time use in any climate, sequential 2-shower demand in warm climates.
The ECO 24 fills the gap between the ECO 18 (sized for 1-bath warm-climate or 1-bath cold-climate) and the ECO 27 (sized for 2-bath cold-climate or 3-bath warm-climate).
