The Atwood XT 6-Gallon Gas+Electric RV Water Heater is the premium-tier Atwood (now Dometic) 6-gallon dual-energy RV water heater. Direct predecessor to current Dometic XT 6-gallon line.
Specs: 6 gallons stored, 8,800 BTU propane burner, 1500W electric element, recovery ~11 gph propane or 6 gph electric. Aluminum tank with magnesium anode rod option. Premium model includes diagnostic LED indicators.
The XT designation reflected premium positioning above standard Atwood G6A-8E. Additional diagnostic features and improved electronic controls. Current production carries Dometic XT branding with same fundamental engineering.
About $550 for replacement, $250-$400 installed. Parts widely available through Camping World.
