The Atwood XT 10-Gallon Gas+Electric RV Water Heater is the premium-tier Atwood (now Dometic) 10-gallon RV water heater. Direct predecessor to the current Dometic XT line — current production carries Dometic XT branding with same fundamental engineering.
Specs: 10 gallons stored, 12,000 BTU propane burner, 1500W electric element, recovery ~17 gph propane or 6 gph electric. Aluminum tank with magnesium anode rod option. Electronic ignition control.
The XT designation reflected premium positioning above standard Atwood G10A-3E — additional diagnostic features and improved electronic controls. Replacement units (post-2014) carry Dometic XT branding.
About $700 for replacement, $300-$500 installed. Service through Camping World and RV-specific suppliers. 2-year warranty.
